The latest installment of the Kaya FM Live @ The Bassline series sees top music stable Native Rhythms hosting the finest night of Afro-pop on the 2 April 2016.

One of the trendiest nights out in Jozi, the Kaya FM Live @ The Bassline series has seen some of the countries most established performing artists rock the stage, including Zonke, Thandiswa Mazwai, Simphiwe Dana, Ringo, Nathi and many others.

The series is fast becoming known as one of the better choices for a night out and the forthcoming event is a triple-billed all-star lineup featuring award winning acapella-group The Soil as the headline act, sensational jazz vocalist Jobie Clarke, Neo-Soul singer and performer Tribute ‘Birdy’ Mboweni for this vocal treat of a night.

In line with last month’s Muthaland Entertainment celebration, featuring Nathi and Vusi Nova, Kaya FM have booked according to music label and this month offer Native Rhythms the chance to showcase their incredible talent. The label has long been known for hosting the best in Afro-pop and Jazz and has always been one to break new talent.

The lineup is a true celebration of vocal prowess. The Soil is one of the countries hippest young acapella groups and with almost 12 years under their belt, they are without a doubt one of the best vocal talents around. Having just replaced their female lead voice Buhle Mda with Theo Songstress Matshoba, the group has wasted no time in getting back out there and wowing audiences with both original material and famous cover versions.
